FH3 release, new label and new video
July 15, 2008 - 19:27 by Faderhead
Hey everyone!
Good news from camp Faderhead! FH3 will be released in October through L-Tracks Records (www.l-tracks.com). L-Tracks is a subdivision of the Lost Legends online store, who want to get more involved creatively with the scene that they do business with on a day-to-day basis here in Germany.
What does that mean for me? L-Tracks will press FH3 and release the album through online distribution and mailorder - and I get to keep 80% of the money that comes in, which should make it possible to continue making records. We will deliberately keep the album prices low by bypassing regular distribution channels and through the fact that L-Tracks is not primarily in the music business to make money (they make money through selling clothes) ...
To check out what I have been up to, head over to www.l-tracks.com, please sign up to the newsletter so we can update you on future Faderhead happenings, and get a FREE mp3 of the brand new Faderhead song "Exit Ghost"! The video we shot a little more than a week ago can be viewed right here.
Please post this on your blogs/bulletins/journals to spread the word!
At this point I want to thank everyone who has written comments and emails voicing their support regarding the future of Faderhead. The past months were a very rough time artistically as well as personally/emotionally and getting so many encouraging emails really meant a lot to me ...
Thank you!

Leaving Accession Records
May 30, 2008 - 12:07 by Faderhead
Hi everyone,
today I received the signed contracts that state that my record deal with Accession Records has been terminated. This has happened as a result of my own request and I have to say that Accession has been nothing but helpful by deciding not to step in my way as an artist in the future.
What the future brings? I dont know. FH3 will probably not get released. That is all I can say.
There are many reasons for this, most of them business related, some of them personal. The main reason being financial. If a newcomer band who scores an international club hit (Dirtygirrrls/Dirtybois hast been getting HEAVY play all over the world from the US to Russia) and puts out 2 albums that receive nothing but critical acclaim - if that band (or in this case one individual) still loses about 10k Euros on both of those releases, something is definitely not right. And I am not even including the money Accession put up for pressing, ads, etc.
I totally agree with anyone that music should always be a matter of the heart, but at some point it just does not become feasible to lose money every year and it becomes frustrating to see that most (95%) of your "fans" think so little of you music that they have it at home, listen to it regularly, write you how much they like it and dont even bother to buy it.
Sincere thanks go out to everyone of you who supported me and my live musicians Christine LaGivr¯¿½©e, Dr. T, Chandler XL and the one and only Alex Montana at all the gigs, via email or myspace. You were the reason that we did it all in the first place!
Hope to see you all at a gig or party in the future

Faderhead is "Featured Band" on www.vampirefreaks.com and their main man Jet also did a little interview with me ... go over there and check it out.
New keyboard player!
March 26, 2008 - 19:37 by Faderhead
I want to officially announce today that Dr. T is no longer playing keyboards with Faderhead. She finished her University studies and now has work commitments that interfere with the Faderhead schedule. Therefore I want to thank her for her efforts and performances in the past year and wish her the best of luck in the future!
The new guy on the keys is our good buddy Chandler XL who will be travelling the world with us from now on. He used to be kind of a studio dweller, so show him a warm welcome when we come to your town! And definitely go to his myspace profile and add him!!
UK / Die Krupps
February 04, 2008 - 13:51 by Faderhead
Just came back home from a weekend out in the UK with Die Krupps and what can I say but THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made both gigs so enjoyable. Big respect to Die Krupps for kicking our ass so hard every night and being one of the best live bands I have seen in a long, long time! Really inspiring!
A quick hi & thanks to everyone we met, especially: Gary, Jo, Frank, Claire, Mark, everyone in Die Krupps & Uberbyte (apparently I stole your coathanger, sorry!), Merchmeister Shaun, Fitz, Nigel, Ms. Jinny, Liz, Geoff/Modulate, Laura Simpson, Charlie, Scu, Blau, Red-Glowstick-Jo (!!!), Mike, James, Saz & Craig, Deborah (keep drumming!) and anyone I might have forgotten in my Smirnoff-induced-haze! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon!
